nhl- Another Day Needed

from The Maven and MSG Network, For the first time since the National Hockey League closed for business last Fall, it appears that the circuit soon will re-open and be able to stage an 82-game 2005-2006 season.
That is, provided that the NHL Players’ Association approves the voluminous, almost 600-page Collective Bargaining Agreement document that has been meticulously crafted over the past month, and appears virtually complete.
Although it had been hoped that negotiators could reach the finish line before Monday, one of the chief protagonists involved at the bargaining table told me at 7:45 p.m. on Sunday that at least another day would be required....more...
