nhl- New Era right Now

"There might be a few of the older guys retiring because of the year off, but there are a lot of young players who can take the game to a high level. "I hope we don't lose too many," said Columbus Blue Jackets winger Jody Shelley, who also played in the skins game. "Guys like [Mark] Messier and [Steve] Yzerman are the class of the game. But we've got young guys like Rick Nash and Sidney Crosby coming up so we're going in the right direction.
"I'm not one bit excited about what happened this year. We've all put a bruise on our game," he said. "I'll welcome any rule changes that will help make the game more exciting. This is going to be a fresh start for the NHL."...more...
