nhl- Snags

via the Phildadelphia Inquirer, Some have pointed to today as the day the NHL lockout would end. But after the league and the NHL Players' Association met yesterday in New York for the 10th straight day, the feeling was that the process might take a few more days.
According to a person familiar with the talks, one of the holdups appears to be the distribution of marketing rights.
Another person briefed on the talks said another unresolved issue is the NHL draft and the status of players selected two years ago but who have yet to sign.
Under the old system, a team had two years to sign a draft choice before the player was declared a free agent.
