nhl- Talks go On

from the Pittsburgh Post- Gazette, For months, negotiators from the NHL and its Players' Association couldn't seem to stand the sight of one another. Lately, they can't bear to be apart.
Officials of the two parties met for the eighth day in a row yesterday, and it was another lengthy session. They convened around 7:30 a.m. -- only five hours or so after breaking off the previous set of talks -- and went deep into the night before quitting. Negotiations will resume today.
While indications are that all potential deal-breaking issues have been resolved, the executives and lawyers representing both sides apparently still have some matters to work out. They also continue the arduous process of writing and reviewing the document that will end the lockout that has shut down the league since mid-September....read on...
